Surge Diverters click image for details	Surge Diverters are parallel connected devices which are typically wired Line to Neutral, or Line to Earth, and in some sub distribution boards installations wired Neutral to Earth., They are an economical level of voltage protection, and provide a “Coarse” level of surge protection
Surge Reduction Filters click image for details	Surge Reduction Filters are series connected devices which are current dependent, and must be sized to the protected load. These protection provide a premium level of protection and include a Primary Surge Diverter, followed by an L – C Filter, and not only clamps the over-voltage, but also reduces the high rates of voltage rise (dV/dT) and current rise (dI/dT) typical of lightning derived transients. They offer a Fine level of voltage protection, and are more expensive than simple Surge Diverters.
